The Evolution of a Fractured Imagination

Every brand has an origin story.

Mine started under another name - iBrokenBrain, an early outlet for the creatures, symbols, and shadow-worlds that kept showing up in my head. It was the first version of what would eventually become my work as a dark fantasy illustrator.

Fracti Cerebrum grew naturally from that first version.
Latin for “fractured brain,” it felt like a better match for the new ideas I wanted to build on. What began as a small idea, slowly became the banner for everything I want to create today: dark fantasy art, macabre worlds, skeletal guardians, and warped medieval myths.

By day, I work as an Art Director for some of the UK’s leading magazine publications, surrounded by typography, layout, photography, and visual storytelling. When night comes, that structure falls away. I swap the editorial world for my iPad and Procreate. The worlds I draw aren’t tidy, they’re haunted, strange, half-forgotten memories and the odd comfort found in macabre ideas.

So what began as iBrokenBrain, a name I'd used for over 15 years, has grown into a fully developed dark-fantasy brand. And it’s still early days. The world of Fracti Cerebrum is expanding: characters like Sir Thistlegrim and the Wards of the Forgotten Paths, skeletal knights and whole mythologies are starting to form.

This is the journey from a fractured beginning to a world of dark and unusual stories.
Welcome to Fracti Cerebrum, a home for hand-drawn dark fantasy illustration and macabre world-building.
